OUR MISSION

According to UNESCO, over 1 billion students worldwide suffered learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mission is to help families recover from this crisis by delivering high-quality online learning experiences for your child, which they can access at home with minimal preparation. We are excited to have you and your child on board!

OUR SOCIAL CONTRACT

As parents and guardians of our learners, we need your help to ensure that our online classrooms are safe for all learners by making a commitment to respect the rules at TULA.

We ask that you read through our TULA Social Contract for learners and parents. Kindly go through the Learner’s Commitment with your child and the Parent/ Guardian’s Commitment found below. Then, please acknowledge that you’ve read and understood the commitments by clicking the sign button below.

🔎 LEARNER’S COMMITMENT

    1. I will follow my TULA schedule as best as I can. I will arrive at least 5 minutes before my online class and will notify my coach/es if I will be late or am unable to attend my session.

    2. I will not share any of my TULA class links with others.

    3. I will respect people. I will be polite and understanding towards everyone I meet in class.

      I will not take screenshots of my classmates or coach.

      I will listen to my classmates and coach when they speak.

    4. I will be careful not to hurt others through my words or actions (e.g. I will not tease, threaten, or make negative comments).

      I will collaborate with and practice compassion toward my classmates.

      I will only use kind, positive, helpful, and encouraging words in the chatbox, during the video calls, and in external links.

    5. I will respect authority.

      I will listen to the learning coaches and all TULA staff, and follow their instructions.

      I will use the chatbox to answer, ask questions, and encourage my class.

      I will unmute myself when I am called on to participate in class.

    6. I will be responsible for my words and actions online.

      I will not share any files or photos during classes.

      I will not share my screen with the class.

      I will not share my private information with the class (e.g. phone number and address).

      I will only share information that is true.

    7. I will follow the TULA norms.

      Before I show my video, I will wear comfortable clothes that are respectful to others.

      I will prepare the materials I need for class before class starts (including my paper, pen, worksheets, and craft materials for missions).

      I will do everything that I can to make sure that my fellow learners and I grow. I will be open to learning new things. I will ask questions when I don’t know the answer. I will bravely step up to take the challenges that a coach gives me. I will never give up on myself or my other fellow learners. I will work with others. I will keep trying no matter what!

    8. I understand that if I break any of these promises, the privilege to attend TULA may be taken away from me.

🔎 pARENT/ GUARDIAN’S COMMITMENT

    1. I have read and understood TULA’s Safety and Security policy.

    2. I will make sure my child is prepared for her/his session and that she/he follows our chosen schedule and attends sessions regularly. This includes ensuring she/he is well-rested, has eaten properly, and is equipped for the session.

    3. I will regularly check my e-mails for regular updates on my child’s class schedule and links.

    4. I will not share any TULA class links with others outside the TULA program.

    5. I will do my best to help my child be responsible for their check out quizzes, worksheets, or output. This involves reminding my child to submit his/her output on time.

    6. I will encourage my child to participate in TULA – in order to get the most out of the TULA experience and unlock their full potential.

    7. I will ensure that my child understands and adheres to the commitments in their TULA social contract.

    8. I understand that my child must follow TULA’s rules in order to ensure that everyone is safe and their rights are protected. I, not TULA, am responsible for the behavior and actions of my child.

    9. I will be a good role model for my child. I will learn how best to do this by communicating with my child's Learning Coaches.

    10. I will be open to receiving feedback regarding my child. I know that feedback is meant to be constructive and, ultimately, for the good of my child.

    11. I will treat all TULA staff, TULA parents and learners with respect and understanding. I will follow all TULA policies to the best of my abilities. If I get into a disagreement or misunderstanding with anyone in the TULA community, I will be careful not to say hurtful or insensitive words and will try to settle any dispute cordially.

    12. I will pay fees regularly and on time. Otherwise, I will have to pay a re-admission fee for re-enrollment, or my child may not be able to attend.

    13. I understand that if I break any of these commitments, my child’s privilege to attend TULA may be taken away.

OUR PARENT GUIDEBOOK

We have prepared an online guidebook that will help you understand TULA more and guide you as a parent. It covers everything you need to know as a TULA member including our policies and FAQs.

🗣️ HOW WE WILL COMMUNICATE

  • At least 1 day before your child's 1st session with us, you will receive a packet from our official email address (hello@tulaeducation.com) called the TULA Digest that will serve as your all-in-one reference file. This contains your child's schedule, class links, and reminders for the entire program. This will also serve as a comprehensive preparation guide for parents and learners. We suggest you star ⭐️ this email in your inbox when you receive it.

  • For announcements and concerns, we will be available via Viber through our TULA Online Group from Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. We highly encourage joining the Viber group so you don't miss out on important updates!
