LIFE SKILLS CLUB:
MISSIONS LIBRARY
Through TULA Toys, kids will learn about the stories behind their most-beloved toys and how create to their very own toys.
Over the course of 8 weeks, learners will learn the stories behind their most beloved toys. Beyond appreciation, learners will have the opportunity to become toy-designers themselves. They will become familiar with elements of the design thinking process, a world-renowned process of creating and improving ideas. Design thinking will be the vehicle used to help the learners grow in their brainstorming, prototyping, collaboration, and presentation skills. Throughout the mission, they will have the chance to design and build toys for themselves.
TULA Changemakers teaches kids how to adapt to the future of work.
When you ask a child what they want to become, more often than not they would reply with answers such as a teacher, doctor, police, or soldier. While these jobs are definitely important to the world, there is value in expanding a child's realm of possibilities in career options. Moreover, the landscape of work is evolving. The jobs that were once on the rise are now obsolete while the jobs of the future are still being formed. What remains constant is the necessity of 21st-century character traits and skills.
Over the course of the 10-week mission, learners will be exploring different industries and jobs through fun activities and simulations. They even get to hear from the professionals themselves! Learners will be developing self-awareness and deepening their practice of character traits such as curiosity, grown mindset, resilience, and drive.
TULA Health Heroes teaches kids how to be healthy in the time of the pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has truly affected the world in ways no one could have imagined: from its effect on businesses to schools, to governments, to the environment--and most importantly, to our health. Days loaded with steps and physical activities are now occupied with binge-watching and couch surfing. Moments filled with handshakes and hugs from loved ones are now replaced with chats and video calls. That is why it's as good a time as any to learn concrete ways on how to take care of ourselves.
Over the course of 10 weeks, learners will be exploring different types of health such as emotional health, physical health like nutrition, movement, rest, and hygiene, as well as social health. Alongside their exploration of health, they will also be deepening their practice of relevant character traits such as resilience, self-control, grit, respect, and compassion. Kids will learn all of these through fun games and collaborative activities.
Through TULA Asia Explorers, kids can travel all around Asia from the safety of their home.
Ask someone what first comes to mind when they hear "Asia"--no doubt, most people would paint pictures of familiar East Asian destinations like Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.

As they explore a different country each week, they will deepen their knowledge and practice of character traits such as curiosity and respect, and attitudes such as growth mindset and appreciation. They will also have the chance to flex their creative muscles as they learn about the arts and culture of each country, and build local handicrafts of their own with materials from around the house. Finally, learners will develop their presentation skills as they work towards a cultural festival at the end of the mission. All of these will be delivered through fun games and collaborative activities.
TULA Wildlife Explorers transports kids to mountain peaks and ocean floors, across sandy deserts, and through the Amazon rainforest, as they learn about the diverse ecosystems around the world, and the animals that inhabit them.
If you want to get to know a kid better, asking them their favorite animal is a good start. After all, animals range from adorable to astounding. However, kids are sometimes unaware of the significance of these animals beyond our aesthetic pleasure.
Over the course of the 10-week mission, learners will expand their knowledge of different ecosystems and animals through Visible Thinking Routines. They will also learn about the environmental problems these ecosystems face and try to come up with solutions through the elements of Design Thinking. In the process, learners will develop key character traits, such as curiosity about new and diverse ecosystems, and respect for all species. TULA Science of Sports empowers kids to maximize the potential of the human body and to be more physically active.
The COVID-19 pandemic situation has forced children to stay at home for more than a year. They have had fewer opportunities to engage in physical activities and more in technology-based games through gadgets. In some of these games, they create characters where they adjust their stats like agility and strength. Now have your kids imagine doing that for themselves.
Over the course of this 10-week mission, learners will explore the different components of physical fitness and their importance to the human body through collaborative learning activities. They will practice their speed, power, agility, reaction time, balance, and coordination through fun games and exercises. In the process, they will develop key character traits and attitudes that are important both to the court and the playing field, such as grit and resilience

TULA Digital Citizens empowers kids to become responsible and productive digital citizens.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been mirrored and worsened by an infodemic. In this overabundance of information, a mixture of false and true stories is deliberately spread to confuse the public. This has resulted in negative real-world outcomes, such as people refusing to wear face masks and refusing to get vaccinated. That is why, now more than ever, kids need to sharpen their skills in critical thinking and analysis.
Throughout this 10-week program, learners will develop their curiosity as they learn how to critique different forms of digital media that they consume. They will also practice their integrity as they learn how to create the same forms of digital media.
